Acura’s 2.4-liter Four produces 201hp at 7000 rpm and 170 lb-ft of torque at 4300 rpm, and has to be revved pretty hard for emphatic acceleration.
Equipped with electronic throttle control and sophisticated transmission technologies such as grade logic and shift-hold control. A torque-sensing, variable electric-power-steering system is fitted, along with four-wheel disc brakes, with ABS, EBD and brake assist.
With the same 106.4-inch wheelbase as the Acura TSX sedan and just a 3.6 inch-longer overall length, the Sport Wagon’s chassis features control arms up front and a multilink system at the rear. A lateral bar ties the front shock towers together for added rigidity, while the rear subframe has reinforced attachment points.Particular attention was paid to body rigidity, and the tailgate has what Acura calls a hoop cross-section structure. The Acura TSX has weighs some 132 pounds.
